Teaching Assistant (Full-Time, Permanent)

About the Role
We are looking for caring and committed Teaching Assistants to support children and young people (ages 5–19) with complex learning needs, including autism. You’ll work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering personalised, therapeutic education focused on communication, independence, and life skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Support students in class and community activities
• Assist with individual learning programmes alongside teachers and therapists
• Encourage communication, social skills, and independence
• Provide pastoral care and support positive behaviour strategies
• Support personal care needs with dignity and respect
• Promote engagement in life skills and enrichment activities

About You

• Passionate about supporting young people with SEN
• Patient, empathetic, and resilient
• Comfortable with personal care responsibilities
• Strong communicator and team player
• Adaptable and willing to learn (training provided)
• Experience in SEN, care, or education desirable
• Able to travel to a rural location (own transport preferred)
