The Opportunity

An ambitious and fast-growing logistics and fulfilment business is seeking a driven Business Development Executive to support its continued expansion across the Midlands and wider UK e-commerce market.

Operating within the parcel delivery, same-day logistics, and e-commerce fulfilment space, the business partners with a broad range of commercial customers — from local trade businesses through to rapidly scaling direct-to-consumer brands. The environment is entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and focused heavily on growth, accountability, and long-term client relationships.

The Role

This is a field-led business development role focused on winning new logistics and fulfilment clients through proactive outbound sales activity.

The successful candidate will be responsible for generating opportunities through cold outreach, face-to-face meetings, digital prospecting, and relationship building. You will target both local businesses requiring parcel and same-day delivery solutions, as well as e-commerce brands seeking outsourced fulfilment support.

The role will suit an experienced B2B sales professional who enjoys hunting for new business, building pipeline from scratch, and working independently in a highly commercial environment.


Key Responsibilities

·       Identify and win new business opportunities across parcel delivery, same-day logistics, and fulfilment services

·       Conduct field-based sales activity including cold calling, client visits, and door-to-door prospecting

·       Build relationships with trade businesses, wholesalers, online retailers, and high-volume shippers

·       Source and engage e-commerce and direct-to-consumer brands through digital outreach and lead generation platforms

·       Develop and manage a consistent sales pipeline with a focus on long-term account growth

·       Deliver consultative sales conversations and present tailored logistics solutions to prospective clients

·       Maintain accurate pipeline activity and reporting through CRM systems

·       Collaborate with operational teams to ensure successful onboarding of new customers

·       Consistently achieve agreed revenue and new business targets

About You

·       Proven experience within B2B sales, business development, or account acquisition

·       Comfortable generating leads through cold outreach and self-sourced prospecting

·       Highly motivated, resilient, and commercially driven

·       Confident working independently and managing your own territory and pipeline

·       Strong communication and relationship-building skills

·       Experience within logistics, courier, transport, fulfilment, or e-commerce sectors would be advantageous

·       Demonstrated ability to convert opportunities into long-term commercial relationships

·       Full UK Driving Licence required
