Academics is working in partnership with an Ofsted Outstanding specialist secondary provision in Islington to recruit a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their well-established and highly respected setting.

Role Overview
Start Date: September 2026
Salary: £42,870 - £58,000 (Inner London Pay Scale)
Location: Borough of Islington
Position: SEN Teacher - SEN School
Requirement: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

As a SEN Teacher, you will deliver structured, accessible, and highly adapted programmes within a therapy-led, multidisciplinary environment, ensuring every learner is supported to make meaningful progress. This provision is committed to nurturing independence, communication, confidence, and life skills within a calm, supportive, and values-driven setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and support pupils aged 11-19 with multiple learning difficulties (MLD) and complex needs
  • Plan and deliver personalised learning programmes aligned with EHCP outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, medical staff, and senior leaders
  • Promote communication, independence, emotional wellbeing, and functional life skills
  • Maintain a safe, structured, and fully accessible learning environment
