My client is a well-established logistics provider offering distribution and warehousing solutions for palletised goods. The operation includes a large vehicle and trailer fleet alongside extensive warehouse facilities, supporting a fast-moving and safety-focused logistics environment.

The Role

My client is seeking an enthusiastic, positive and hardworking Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join their Night Shift team. Working as part of a small, close-knit team, you will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient loading and unloading of vehicles, ensuring smooth overnight operations.

This role offers long-term progression, with the opportunity to be trained to step up and cover night shift supervision, which will include basic people management and IT-based tasks. Strong communication skills will be essential as responsibilities grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading lorries safely and efficiently
• Operating a counterbalance forklift in line with health & safety procedures
• Supporting the smooth running of night shift operations
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Assisting with team supervision duties as trained

Requirements

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential)
• Reach Truck Licence (highly desirable)
• Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Good communication skills
• Willingness to progress and take on additional responsibility
