Overview
International and bilingual schools across Asia and the Middle East are seeking experienced and committed Secondary English Teachers for the August 2026 intake. About the Role
Successful candidates will deliver engaging and academically rigorous English lessons to secondary students, supporting both first-language and additional-language learners. Teachers will be expected to promote critical thinking, creativity, and a love for literature while maintaining high academic standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons in line with the school’s curriculum (e.g., British, IB, or American)
  • Teach a range of skills including reading, writing, speaking, and literary analysis
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and extracurricular activities
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Engage with parents and colleagues to support student development

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Literature, or a closely related subject
  • Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, B.Ed., or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching English at secondary level
  • Experience with an international curriculum (IGCSE, A-Level, IB, or equivalent) is highly desirable
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to new cultural and professional environments
