Accounts Assistant | Gillingham | Paying £28k (Temp to Perm)

An established and growing organisation is seeking an organised and detail-focused Accounts Assistant to support its busy finance function initially on a temporary to permanent basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys transactional finance, thrives in a fast-paced environment.

You will be responsible for supporting the finance team in Sales and Purchase Ledgers. Assisting the Accounts Supervisor and Group Finance Manager to fulfil the needs of the business.

This role will be office based for the first month and then hybrid.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create new customer and vendors
• Purchase Orders
• Sales and purchase invoices
• Application for Payments
• Credit notes
• Bank reconciliations
• Processing Credit Card expenses
• Preparing and issuing statement as necessary
• Reconciliation of supplier statements
• Work towards efficiencies and process improvements within workload
• Adhoc tasks as directed

The Ideal Candidate Will Be:

• Experienced in transactional finance, particularly accounts payable or similar.
• Highly organised, accurate and confident working with numbers.
• Comfortable handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
• A clear communicator who enjoys working collaboratively.
• Proactive, reliable and eager to develop professionally.
• Familiar with accounting systems and basic reconciliations.
