Child Support Worker

We are seeking highly skilled Child Support Workers to join our dedicated team in a structured twelve-week programme designed to support a child and their father in the Monk Bretton area. This role requires flexibility, with shifts covering from early morning to late at night, and occasionally extending to midnight. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in secure settings or leaving care, with significant experience in restraint techniques and therapeutic interventions.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Work shifts starting at 8:30 AM and covering up to 15 hours, with the flexibility to extend until midnight if necessary.
• Follow a structured routine to facilitate activities and provide support to both the child and father.
• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment, applying trained restraint techniques when needed.
• Operate within a team, adhering to a shift pattern, ensuring consistent support and coverage.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in secure settings or leaving care.
• Proficient in restraint techniques with basic training already acquired.
• Ability to work both therapeutically and independently.
• Must be a driver due to the location and demands of the role.
• Additional training in therapeutic interventions and scenario role-play will be provided, but a strong foundational skill set is required.
