We're partnering with a £120m turnover, Private Equity-backed e-commerce group who are strengthening their finance team as they continues to scale. With strong backing, international reach and a fast-moving trading environment, finance plays a central role in how the business operates - not just how it reports.
This role sits at the core of that function, reporting into the Financial Controller with exposure to the Group Finance Director, supporting both financial control and commercial performance as the business grows.Responsibilities:
Delivering monthly financial reporting across the group, ensuring outputs are accurate, timely and usable
Interpreting performance trends across revenue, margin and cost base, highlighting risks and opportunities
Supporting the Financial Controller with period-end close, including oversight of key balances and controls
Producing insight-led reporting for senior leadership, including input into investor updates
Working closely with commercial teams to track performance against targets and budgets
Contributing to forecasting cycles, with regular updates based on current trading
Monitoring cost drivers across marketing, operations and overhead spend
Supporting cash visibility through tracking of working capital movements
Assisting with year-end deliverables and external audit requirements
Identifying inefficiencies in current reporting and implementing more streamlined approaches
Supporting and reviewing work produced by junior members of the team
What they’re looking for:
ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
Experience in a fast-paced, growing business environment
Strong Excel skills and confidence handling large, imperfect data sets
Able to translate financial information into clear, practical insight
Comfortable working with senior stakeholders
Hands-on approach with a willingness to improve existing processes
Exposure to e-commerce, retail or consumer businesses is advantageous
