The Role:
Great opportunity for an experienced Bid Manager to develop client and prospect bids, proposals and pitches across all Davies Group business areas. Reporting into the Bid Management Team Leader, this is a key role in the Group Bid Management team to support with our global growth strategy. This is a temporary maternity cover position.
• Deliver bids, proposals and pitches across Davies range of business areas
• Collaborate with stakeholders at the outset of each pursuit to define the win strategy and manage thereafter all stages of the bid process
• Draft/edit bid content and coordinate internal stakeholder contributions relative to each bid to ensure timely delivery of best-in-class bid content
• Provide clear briefings to stakeholders and bid designers to ensure efficient bid management
• Prepare teams for sales presentations and pitches, ensuring structure, content, style and delivery align with the opportunity
• Ensure follow-on information requests post-bid are coordinated and fulfilled promptly
• Report on bid outcomes, live activity and pipeline movements to maintain global business wide visibility
• Collaborate with bid team colleagues to identify and support group-wide cross sell opportunities
• Maintain relevant sections of the central library of core response materials to aid efficient drafting where appropriate
• Capture client feedback on bid submissions and ensure lessons learned are communicated internally and implemented
• 5+ years’ experience in a bid management role
• Bid experience ideally gained within the professional/insurance services sector
• Highly competent bid writer able to cut through technical complexity
• Skilled communicator able to operate effectively at all levels
• Excellent project management skills to coordinate multiple lines of operation
• Ability to work efficiently within tight deadlines
