We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Senior to manage a portfolio of payroll clients from start to finish. This role involves handling a variety of workplace pension schemes and requires strong organisational skills, the ability to work independently under pressure, and excellent communication abilities. **Accountancy Practice Payroll Bureau experience is required**

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage your own portfolio of payroll clients, ensuring all processes from start to finish are handled efficiently, including the management of various workplace pension schemes.
  • Execute BACs payments for clients and liaise with HM Revenue & Customs.
  • Set up new payroll clients and handle advanced payroll tasks such as setting up pension schemes and closing PAYE schemes.
  • Analyse payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Liaise with managers and team members to address payroll enquiries and reporting needs.
  • Assist in the training and development of Payroll Administrators.
  • Directly handle client and employee enquiries via email and telephone.
  • Provide training to payroll administrators as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Excellent prioritisation skills to manage a diverse workload effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with team members, clients, and payroll employees.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication.
  • Literacy and numeracy skills are essential.
  • Experience working in a payroll bureau environment is required.
