Accounting & Financial Reporting Manager - London

Top 10 City accountancy firm is seeking an Accounting and Financial Reporting Manager to join its London offices. You will oversee statutory compliance and provide accounting support for a diverse portfolio of medium and large companies across multiple industries, including consumer, technology, financial services, and private equity-backed businesses. Working closely with Partners and Directors, you will act as a trusted advisor, building strong client relationships and delivering high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee a portfolio of clients, ensuring a premium service while identifying opportunities to contribute to the growth and development of the department.

  • Provide advisory and accounting support to clients, including assisting them through the audit process.

  • Maintain strong technical knowledge of IFRS, FRS102, FRS101, and Companies Act reporting requirements.

  • Manage project budgets, working capital, billing, and debt recovery to ensure engagements run efficiently and within agreed parameters.

  • Lead, mentor, and manage team members within the Accounting & Financial Reporting function, setting objectives and supporting professional development.

Candidate Profile
  • ACA or ACCA qualified with at least three years PQE managing client portfolios.

  • Commercial or industry finance experience is desirable.

  • Proven experience supervising and coaching junior staff.

  • Strong technical understanding of UK financial reporting standards, IFRS, FRS102, and Companies Act requirements.

  • Experienced with professional accounts preparation software

  • Confident, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities while delivering exceptional client service.
