About Us:

We are a teaching agency working with a friendly and happy primary school in Romford, in the Borough of Havering.

About the Client:

The school focuses on providing an environment in which pupils are happy, challenged and secure. The school is looking for a strong and experienced Year 4 SEN TA to support a pupil on a 1:1 basis. Whilst the child has no official diagnosis, he has attachment issues and can have disruptive outbursts. If you would like to work in a strong, happy, family atmosphere as a Year 4 SEN TA, then this is the school for you! The school strongly believes in preparing every child for their future.

Key Responsibilities for a Year 4 SEN TA:

  • Supporting a child with challenging behaviour
  • Work with a team of adults to support an individual pupil
  • Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Provide feedback to pupils in relation to their progress and achievement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
  • Previous experience working in a KS2 class
  • Have a basic understanding of behaviour management
  • Experience working with children as a Year 4 SEN TA
  • An understanding of using visuals to support learning
