Learning Support Assistant (Secondary) - Knowsley

Requirements:

• Previous experience supporting children or young adults with additional needs (SEN) or in a coaching/educational capacity.
• Strong communication, empathy, patience, and the ability to simplify complex tasks into manageable steps.
• An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one).

Key Duties:

• Support learning by working with small groups or individuals to reinforce lesson objectives.
• Manage behaviour within the classroom to maintain a focused and positive environment.
• Prepare resources and set up equipment before lessons to ensure a smooth start.
• Safeguard pupils by following all school policies and child protection procedures.
• Assist the teacher with administrative tasks and the display of student work.
• Lead interventions for students requiring extra help with literacy or numeracy.
