Senior Project Manager - Financial Services (Governance & Delivery)

The client
My client is a fast-growing UK fintech on a mission to make financial services more accessible, transparent, and customer-centric. FCA Authorised and regulated, they specialise in responsible lending, using technology and data to deliver better outcomes for our customers while operating within a highly regulated environment.
A business in scale-up mode — with a modern technology platform, an expanding customer base, and a clear ambition to build a market-leading lending proposition. With around 100 employees, they combine the pace and ownership of a startup with the discipline required in financial services.
Role Purpose
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end governance, oversight, and delivery of all internal projects.
This role ensures that change initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, aligned to regulatory expectations, and governed through a robust framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement project governance frameworks
- Oversee delivery of all internal projects
- Maintain a centralised project portfolio
- Manage risks, issues, and compliance requirements
- Provide executive-level reporting
- Coordinate cross-functional teams
- Drive continuous improvement
Required
- 5+ years in relevant project/programme management
- Experience in UK fintech, credit cards or consumer lending
- Strong understanding of FCA, Consumer Duty, and governance
- Experience managing multiple projects
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills
Compensation
Salary: £85,000 – £95,000
