Trainee/Junior Paraplanner (Hybrid)

Location: Office based primarily but home working is available for up to 2 days per week

Hours: 5 days per week - 9am until 5pm (Monday - Friday)

Salary; £25,000 - £27,500+ Negotiable

Contract type: Permanent

Role purpose: An exciting new opportunity has arisen within the Paraplanning team providing paraplanning support to the Paraplanners, Advisers and wider business.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Providing paraplanning support to the Financial adviser team across more simple products and cases with a view of developing into more complex advice areas and cases in development and learning journey
  • Sending Letter of Authorities to third party providers
  • Chasing outstanding information with third party providers
  • Analysing of policy information
  • Preparation of basic suitability letter and reports
  • Accurately recording clients data and compliance
  • Communication between client and adviser to ensure both parties are updated throughout the process
  • Working within desired timescales for completion of tasks
  • Project a professional image in both appearance and attitude and provide quality support on time to agreed standards
  • Maintain up to date industry knowledge and awareness by attending training days and keeping abreast of advice and process changes internally
  • Develop technical competence at an appropriate level to meet the requirements of the role
  • Maintain a good working relationship with colleagues, clients and third parties.

Person Specification:

  • Genuine interest in Financial Services and paraplanning as a long term career
  • Interest in taking exams and keen to develop is essential
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Highly organised
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • IT Skills
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude at all times
  • Works well as an individual and also as part of a large team
