School Cook – Job Opportunity

Location: Brighton

Hours: Monday to Friday - 4pm to 7pm

Salary: £15 to £17 per hour

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic School Cook to join our catering team. You will play a key role in preparing and serving nutritious, well-balanced meals for our students while maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.

No meal planning or ordering required.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and serve healthy meals in line with school meal standards
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in line with food safety regulations
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Food Hygiene standards

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment (school catering desirable)
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards - Level 2 Food & Hygiene  
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• A friendly and positive attitude, especially when working around children

Requirements

• Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 )
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
