Cedar is currently partnered with a high-growth, content-media brand to secure a Management Accountant in London. The role offers a day rate of between £300-£325 per day, with hybrid working 2 days in the office, based in Soho.

This UK-based content and media brand is expanding across digital content, live events, publications and corporate partnerships. Operating with a lean, high-performing team, the business is focused on continued growth and audience expansion. The finance function is now being brought in-house, creating an opportunity to build robust processes and support the next phase of scale.
The Role
As Management Accountant, you will cover:
- Full ownership of accounts payable and receivable processes, including supplier and customer onboarding, invoice coding and cash collection
- Management of weekly payment runs and approval processes
- Preparation and posting of journals, including accruals, prepayments and revenue adjustments
- Balance sheet reconciliations, including bank reconciliations
- Production of timely and accurate month-end reporting packs
- Preparation of VAT returns, working closely with the Finance Director for review
- Supporting year-end processes and liaising with external accountants
- Maintaining strong financial controls, documentation and audit-ready records
- Ownership of finance operations, including supplier data, contracts and cash monitoring
- Supporting short-term cashflow visibility and reporting
- Acting as the internal lead for Xero, ensuring clean and well-maintained financial records
- Assisting the Finance Director with ad hoc project work and process improvements
Your Profile
You will ideally have:
- Newly qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
- Strong hands-on experience across AP, AR, journals and reconciliations
- Experience using Xero, with the ability to act as an internal system lead
- Experience preparing VAT returns or the confidence to take ownership
- High attention to detail, particularly around cash and approvals
- A proactive and organised approach, comfortable operating in a small team
- The ability to work independently and take ownership of day-to-day finance operations
Compensation & Benefits
As well as a day rate of between £300-£325 per day, the role offers the opportunity to build and shape the finance function within a growing business. You will work closely with the Finance Director and gain exposure to broader commercial finance activities, with a clear pathway to develop into a Finance Manager role as the business scales.
