ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT- LOANS MIDDLE OFFICE

Salary: Up to £75k
Location: London

Hybrid: 3 days in office

A leading global financial institution is seeking a Spanish/ French/ Dutch speaking Assistant Vice President to join their Loans Middle Office team in London. You'll be joining a close-knit team with a strong collaborative culture, where colleagues support one another and take pride in delivering high-quality work. What you'll do:

• Reviewing loan agreements from operational perspective
• Building and setting up deals in Loan IQ from draft stage
• Providing feedback to Front Office on draft documentation ahead of finalisation
• Managing the end-to-end process from document review through to deal setup and ongoing facility maintenance
• Extracting key data points from loan agreements to support event management across the loan lifecycle
• Ensuring the Bank's SOX controls relating to deal origination are adhered to
• Logging and tracking key updates from loan documentation (e.g. fees, margins, maturity extensions) within internal systems
• Proactively resolving queries within the team, escalating where appropriate
• Acting on approved credit applications and correspondence in a timely manner (within 3 business days), ensuring all updates are accurately reflected in systems
• Completing system approvals on the same day as updates, with team approvals finalised within agreed timelines
• Producing and distributing monthly reports accurately within required deadlines
• Supporting project work and contributing to process improvements and operational enhancements
• Occasionally reviewing loan agreements in French, Spanish or Dutch, and liaising with relevant branches where required

What you bring:

• Fluent or business proficient in French or Spanish or Dutch
• Strong understanding of loan documentation and the underlying mechanics of how facilities operate
• Experience using Loan IQ is highly desirable
• Proven experience reviewing loan agreements
• Background within a front, middle, or back office environment
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, maintaining accuracy and clear communication
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks without compromising quality
• A collaborative team player with a proactive approach
• Reliable, enthusiastic, and motivated to drive improvements in processes and ways of working
