Finance Assistant

We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join a busy finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone with accounts experience who is either studying AAT or looking to continue their professional development (Level 2 or 3 preferred).

The Role:

You will support the Finance team with a range of administrative and transactional duties, ensuring processes are completed accurately and efficiently. This is a varied role that offers exposure across multiple areas of finance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing supplier invoices and accurately coding transactions to cost centres
  • Maintaining utility and council tax records, liaising with providers and local authorities to resolve queries
  • Assisting with revenue reconciliation and raising sales invoices
  • Ensuring journey records are completed accurately and reconciling associated data
  • Supporting the Finance Manager with administrative tasks and ensuring all documentation for client invoicing is correctly collated and stored
  • Maintaining logistics invoice records in Excel for reporting and reconciliation purposes
  • Providing timely reports and information to operational teams
  • Supporting and improving internal processes where possible
  • Providing general administrative cover and assisting with day-to-day finance duties

About You:

  • Previous accounts or finance experience is essential
  • Studying towards AAT (Level 2 or 3) or keen to do so
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident using Excel
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks
