We are currently seeking reliable and proactive Caretakers to join friendly and supportive teams at several local schools. This vital role ensures that school premises are safe, secure, and well-maintained, providing a conducive environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.

Key responsibilities would include:

• Opening and closing the school premises, ensuring security at all times.
• Carrying out minor repairs and general maintenance to keep the school in good condition.
• Ensuring the site is clean, safe, and tidy.
• Monitoring heating, lighting, and alarm systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
• Liaising with contractors and managing deliveries.
• Supporting with setting up rooms for school events, ensuring they meet the required standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous caretaking, maintenance, or facilities experience (school setting desirable)
• Good DIY skills and a proactive attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
