Are you a compassionate and resilient professional with experience supporting students with challenging behaviour? Do you have a background in SEND and a strong understanding of managing complex needs?

Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a Year 4 pupil who displays extremely challenging behaviour. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a child's educational journey.

The Role

• Provide 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with significant behavioural needs
• Implement strategies to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour
• Work closely with the class teacher and external professionals to deliver an individual support plan
• Support the pupil with academic tasks to maintain engagement
• Create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
• Monitor, record, and report on progress, behaviour, and interventions

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience working with SEND or pupils with challenging behaviour
• Team-Teach trained (or willing to undertake training)
• Calm, patient, and confident in behaviour management strategies
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Committed to supporting pupils' emotional and academic development
• Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic school environment
