Salary: £85k

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly capable Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute professional with a strong background in heritage and commercial projects to take ownership of multiple schemes and contribute to our continued success.

About the Role

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of multiple projects, ensuring cost control, profitability, and compliance across a diverse portfolio. You will work closely with Contract Managers and play a key role in financial reporting and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring effective cost control and commercial performance
  • Prepare and present Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs/CBRs)
  • Work closely with Contract Managers, providing accurate reporting and commercial insight
  • Oversee tender processes, including pricing and evaluation of tender-led projects
  • Manage contracts including Measured Term Contracts (MTC) and day works
  • Ensure projects are delivered within budget, from small works to multi-million-pound schemes

Requirements

  • Professional certification such as RICS or CIOB (or working towards)
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
  • Strong background in cost control and commercial management
  • 10–15 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role
  • Proven experience managing a range of project values (£500k – £5M)
  • Experience working on commercial and/or heritage projects
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of listed buildings
  • Exposure to a variety of contract types including MTC and tender-led projects
