Description

• Oversee the preparation and submission of accurate financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
• Lead and manage the financial accounting team, ensuring clear communication and effective delegation of tasks.
• Develop and implement robust financial controls and processes across the organisation.
• Provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making within a business of high stock
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting.
• Manage the year-end audit process, liaising with external auditors as required.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and oversee the preparation of VAT returns.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the financial accounting function.

Profile

A successful Head of Financial Accountants should have:

• A professional accounting qualification such as ACA
• Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting and compliance within
• Proven leadership experience in managing finance teams effectively.
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax regulations (UK GAAP)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced proficiency with financial systems and reporting tools
