Head of Early Years (Reception) 

About the Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Early Years leader to join an independent school. This role involves leading the Reception provision while teaching a class and setting the standard for outstanding EYFS practice.

You will play a key role in shaping the early learning experience, ensuring a nurturing, engaging environment where pupils feel valued and thrive. Alongside teaching responsibilities, you will lead and support staff, drive high-quality teaching and learning, and contribute to the wider school community.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Reception/EYFS team
• Deliver high-quality teaching within your own class
• Promote outstanding standards of teaching and learning
• Support and develop colleagues through coaching and modelling best practice
• Ensure a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
• Contribute to whole-school development and pupil progress

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified teacher with EYFS experience
• Proven leadership or leadership potential
• Passionate about early years education and pupil development
• Strong communicator with the ability to motivate and inspire others
• Committed to creating a supportive and engaging learning environment
