Private Client Solicitor – Leeds

A leading UK law firm with a top-tier Private Client practice is seeking an experienced Senior Associate or Managing Associate to join its highly regarded Trusts, Estates & Tax (TET) team in Leeds, offering hybrid working.

The Opportunity

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a Tier 1-ranked team (as recognised by leading legal directories) advising high and ultra-high net worth individuals on a broad range of complex private client matters. The team is known for delivering sophisticated, tailored advice across trusts, estate planning and tax and works closely with a wider national network of specialists.

Based in Leeds, you will be part of a collaborative and growing Northern team with a strong pipeline of high-quality work. The role offers exposure to a wide variety of matters, including cross-border estates, complex succession planning, mental capacity issues and agricultural client work.

You will also work alongside other specialist teams—such as Corporate, Tax, Family and Agricultural Property—contributing to a holistic private wealth offering for business owners and high-value clients.

The Role

• Advising on a broad range of trusts, estate and tax planning matters
• Supporting senior Lawyers on complex, high-value instructions
• Drafting sophisticated legal documents, including wills and trust instruments
• Assisting with the administration of estates, including high-value and cross-border matters
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Contributing to business development initiatives and the continued growth of the team

About You

• Qualified Solicitor with circa 3–7 years’ PQE in private client / TET work
• Strong technical expertise in trusts, estates and tax planning
• Experience working with high-net-worth clients
• Excellent organisational and case management skills
• Commercial awareness and a proactive, client-focused approach
• Confident using case management systems and standard IT packages
• A personable team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
