Location: Further Education settings

Pay: £15.50–£16.00 per hour

Contract: Long-term temporary placements (full-time)

We are currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work within Further Education (FE) settings on long-term temporary assignments. This is a rewarding opportunity to support learners with a range of additional needs and help them reach their full potential in a college environment.

The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff and support teams to assist learners during lessons, workshops, and practical sessions. You will play a key role in promoting inclusion, engagement, and independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide in-class support to learners with additional needs
• Assist students with understanding course content and instructions
• Support learners on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
• Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and participation
• Help learners access the curriculum in a safe and supportive way
• Liaise with tutors and support staff to monitor learner progress
• Maintain a professional, supportive, and inclusive learning environment

Requirements

• Previous experience working within Further Education (FE) is essential
• A positive, patient, and adaptable approach to learner support
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting learner wellbeing

Desirable (but not essential)

• Experience with personal care, medical administration, or moving and handling
• Experience supporting learners with additional needs or SEND
