Head of Removals – HGV Class 2

RELOcruitment

Are you an experienced removals professional with a passion for fine art and high-end interiors? Our client is a prestigious, family-run fine art and interior design logistics firm with a reputation for excellence and a rapidly growing presence across the UK and Europe. Based in West London, they are now seeking a senior on-road professional to lead their removals operations and set the standard for service delivery.

The Role:

This is a hands-on leadership position for a seasoned moving professional who holds a Class 2 licence and is ready to take ownership of the removals function from the road. As Head of Removals, you will be the driving force behind day-to-day operations — managing crews, overseeing complex moves, and ensuring every job is executed to the exceptional standard their high-profile clientele expects. This role is as much about people and process as it is about driving.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Leading and managing removals crews on-site, setting the benchmark for care, professionalism, and efficiency.
  • Specialist transportation of fine art, antiques, designer furniture, and luxury interior pieces across the UK and Europe.
  • Overseeing the secure packing, loading, and unloading of high-value and delicate items to the highest standard.
  • On-site installations — working closely with handlers, interior designers, and clients to ensure pieces are positioned perfectly.
  • Acting as the senior point of contact on the road, liaising directly with high-profile clients and maintaining a discreet, professional approach at all times.
  • Occasional European trips with overnight stays, with all expenses covered.

What We're Looking For:

  • HGV Class 2 licence (with valid CPC and Tachograph card) — essential.
  • Significant experience in removals, fine art logistics, or high-end interior/luxury goods handling.
  • Proven ability to lead a team on the road and take responsibility for operational outcomes.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a genuine pride in handling valuable, irreplaceable items.
  • Strong client-facing skills — polished, professional, and able to represent the business at the highest level.
  • European driving experience is a welcome bonus.

Why This Role?

  • A genuine leadership opportunity within a well-regarded, growing business — not just a driving job.
  • Work on prestigious projects for an enviable client base across fine art, interior design, and luxury sectors.
  • Be part of a close-knit, family-run team that values expertise and rewards commitment.
  • Travel across the UK and Europe, with competitive salary and real scope for growth.
