This role is central to ensuring smooth administrative operations, accurate record-keeping, and compliance with both internal procedures and external awarding body requirements. You will play a key part in managing student records, supporting assessment and quality assurance processes, and delivering a high standard of customer-focused administrative support.

About the role

As General Administrator, you will support the end-to-end administration of professional qualifications. Working closely with internal teams, you will help ensure programmes are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and with a strong focus on learner experience.

Key responsibilities

Administrative support

  • Provide administrative support for CIPD, CMI and other professional qualification programmes
  • Deliver clear, friendly and professional communication when responding to learner and stakeholder enquiries
  • Maintain accurate student records and documentation in line with awarding body and internal requirements
  • Manage enrolments, submissions, assessment tracking and related workflows
  • Prepare and maintain trackers, reports and documentation using Excel and SharePoint
  • Ensure all programme documentation is accurately stored and maintained

Operational support

  • Support assessment processes, including submission tracking and documentation management
  • Maintain records for internal quality assurance (IQA) activities and assessment sampling
  • Assist with academic integrity and misconduct processes where required
  • Support compliance with awarding body and internal procedures
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of qualification administration

Systems and data management

  • Input and maintain accurate data across systems including Moodle, Salesforce and SharePoint
  • Keep student and qualification records up to date and compliant
  • Produce routine reports and data summaries to support monitoring and compliance
  • Ensure data is handled in line with data protection and organisational policies

Continuous improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes
  • Support the implementation of more efficient systems and workflows
  • Contribute to maintaining robust processes that meet CIPD and organisational requirements
What we’re looking for

Essential

  • Experience in an administrative role managing routine administrative processes
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Clear written communication skills and the ability to follow structured processes accurately

Desirable

  • Experience supporting professional qualifications (CIPD, CMI or similar)
  • Familiarity with virtual learning environments such as Moodle
  • Experience using CRM or administrative systems such as Salesforce and SharePoint
  • Understanding of quality assurance or assessment administration processes
