Maths Teacher (QTS) - Farnborough

Prospero Teaching is supporting a specialist secondary school in the Farnborough area that caters for pupils with moderate learning difficulties (MLD) and is seeking a Maths Teacher (QTS) to start in September.

You will teach Maths across KS3 and KS4, delivering structured and accessible lessons that support pupils to develop confidence, numeracy skills, and independence. This role suits a teacher who enjoys adapting teaching methods and working within a supportive, SEN-focused environment.

The Role:

• Teach Maths across KS3 and KS4
• Deliver differentiated lessons for pupils with MLD
• Support pupils with numeracy, confidence, and engagement
• Assess progress and adapt teaching accordingly
• Maintain clear structures and positive behaviour routines
• Work collaboratively with support staff
• Follow safeguarding and school policies consistently

Ideal Candidate:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
• Confident adapting lessons for SEN learners
• Calm, organised, and patient teaching approach
• Strong classroom management skills
• Suitable for ECTs and experienced teachers

Contract Details:

• Position: Maths Teacher (QTS)
• Location: Farnborough
• Start Date: September
• Working Pattern: Full-time
• Pay Rate: £32,916 - £51,047 per annum (M1-U3)
• Key Stages: KS3-KS4

Experience, Training & Safeguarding:

• QTS required
• SEN experience beneficial but not essential
• Safeguarding training can be provided
