We are seeking an experienced Compensation & Benefits Advisor to join our established People / HR Shared Services function. This role supports a multi-entity group organisation with complex payroll, compensation, and benefits requirements. It's an excellent opportunity for a hands-on professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and partnering closely with Finance, external providers, and wider HR teams.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Act as the first point of contact for all compensation, payroll, pay, and benefits-related queries.
  • Manage end-to-end payroll activity across multiple payrolls within a group company structure.
  • Review, validate, and sign off payroll data in line with payroll cut-off deadlines.
  • Investigate and resolve complex payroll discrepancies, ensuring timely and clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Administer and advise on a broad range of employee compensation, reward, and benefits, including pension schemes, salary sacrifice arrangements, and long service awards.
  • Manage the annual benefits renewal cycle, working closely with brokers and third-party providers.
  • Support annual salary and bonus review processes.
  • Ensure compensation, payroll, and benefits processes remain compliant with UK statutory legislation and best practice.
  • Produce and distribute compensation, payroll, and benefits management information (MI) on a weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc basis.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Compensation & Benefits Advisor, Payroll Adviser, or in a similar payroll-focused role.
  • Experience operating within a shared service or HR operations environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
  • Practical experience administering pensions and reward schemes, including salary sacrifice benefits.
  • Confident working collaboratively with Finance teams and external payroll providers.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and data interpretation skills.
  • Strong systems capability with payroll systems, alongside advanced Excel skills.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
