Technical Specialist

Location UK (hybrid) - London and international travel as required.

Salary: c£40,000

It operates at the intersection of materials, technology, and global supply chains, delivering data-driven analysis, forecasting, and industry engagement.

What you’ll do

• Study global demand for tin and how it’s used
• Build forecasts and models for future demand
• Research industries and speak to experts to check insights
• Turn technical info into clear, client-friendly reports
• Help improve data, dashboards, and team projects

What you need

• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving
• Good with data (advanced Excel; Power BI is a plus)
• Able to link technical details to market impact
• Clear and concise writing
• Confident working with and questioning stakeholders

Nice to have

• Knowledge of industries using tin (electronics, solar, packaging, etc.)
• Experience with forecasting and modelling
• Basic understanding of research tools (like patents/literature)
• Interest in coding or automation (Python, SQL, etc.)

Experience & education

• ~2–5 years in analysis, consulting, or research
• Proven experience producing reports or insights
• Degree in science (e.g. Chemistry or Materials Science (Metals))
