The Role

As a Semi-Senior Accountant, you will support a varied portfolio of clients across different sectors. Your duties will include:

• Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
• Assisting with the preparation of corporation tax and personal tax returns
• Supporting VAT returns, bookkeeping, and management accounts when required
• Liaising directly with clients to obtain information, resolve queries, and build strong working relationships
• Working closely with senior team members to ensure deadlines are met and work is delivered to high professional standards
• Progressing steadily toward qualification with the firm’s support

About You

You’ll be a strong fit for this role if you are:

• ACCA or ACA part-qualified, ideally close to completing your qualification
• Experienced within a UK accountancy practice (minimum 3 years)
• Confident preparing accounts and tax returns with minimal supervision
• Familiar with cloud accounting packages such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage
• Highly organised, detail-focused, and able to manage your own workload
• A strong communicator who enjoys client-facing responsibilities
