Group Financial Accountant

Robert Half is exclusively partnering with a private equity-backed renewable energy business to hire a Group Financial Accountant into their London-based finance team. This is a high-impact role within a growing, internationally operating business, offering strong exposure across group reporting, consolidation and senior stakeholder interaction.
The opportunity Sitting within a flat and collaborative Group Finance function, this is a hands-on position where you'll take ownership of month-end and consolidation while supporting a fast-scaling, multi-entity business. You'll work closely with the Group Financial Controller and wider finance leadership, gaining broad exposure across technical accounting, audit and process improvement in a business where finance is central to decision-making.
Key responsibilities - Own the group month-end close across central and corporate entities, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
- Lead the consolidation process (Lucanet), including intercompany eliminations, multi-currency and FX considerations
- Deliver high-quality group reporting with clear analysis and insight for senior stakeholders
- Support the year-end audit process, acting as a key point of contact for auditors and preparing supporting documentation
- Review and challenge balance sheet reconciliations, identifying risks, inconsistencies and areas for improvement
- Work across multiple systems (including NetSuite and local reporting tools), helping to improve reporting quality and consistency
- Drive improvements across processes, controls and reporting as the business continues to scale
What we're looking for - ACA qualified (practice-trained preferred, ideally Top 10 background)
- Strong technical grounding with exposure to audited group environments and complex structures
- Experience leading audit assignments and working closely with key stakeholders
- Proven experience or exposure to consolidation and intercompany accounting
- Confident working with large data sets and multiple reporting systems
- Proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to operate independently in a growing business
- Strong communication skills - personable, credible and able to engage across all levels
