Our team is creating a vital 1.6-mile link road between the M54 and M6, complete with upgraded junctions and three new bridges. This direct motorway connection will reduce congestion and strengthen regional connectivity.

You will be working in the Infrastructure OU based in Wolverhampton where we are responsible for bringing design, build and refurbishment excellence to complex civil engineering projects nationwide - combining technical expertise with a passion for creating lasting value for people and places.

We are currently looking for a Foreperson who will be working on the M54 J1 to M6 J11 Bypass, supporting the delivery of the works.

As the Foreperson, you will:

  • Support the team to deliver all aspects of the project requirements. Ensure the coordination of works across all disciplines, including suppliers, subcontractors, and Skanska enabling teams.
  • Ensure that all permits and documents related to specific tasks are briefed clearly to respective teams and recorded accordingly.
  • Develop collaborative working relationships with subcontractors, supplier partners and community stakeholders.
  • Keep a full and accurate set of records including daily site diary, changes / variations, subcontractors' attendance, and records of work-related discussions with all stakeholders.
  • Ensure that his/her operatives receive all Safety and Environmental Bulletins and Tool Box Talks, and are aware of any Safety and Environmental issues.

We are looking for:

  • Previous experience on this type of major infrastructure project. (Roads, Civil, groundwork, drainage, structures experience).
  • Comprehensive understanding and experience of a wide range of construction techniques and best practice.
  • Ideally, holds minimum Supervisor Gold Card, SMSTS, Lift Supervisor, HSG 47 and MEWPS for Managers.
  • Clean Driving Licence
