Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Resource Hub

A well-regarded secondary school in the Walsall area is seeking a skilled and compassionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support students within its Resource Hub. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference to pupils who require tailored support in a nurturing and structured environment.
The Role

• Supporting students within the Resource Hub, working closely with SEN staff and teachers
• Delivering small-group and one-to-one interventions
• Providing in-class support to help pupils access learning and build independence
• Assisting with behaviour regulation, emotional support, and learning engagement
• Contributing to planning, pupil progress, and record-keeping where appropriate
• Acting as a positive role model, promoting high expectations and inclusion

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds HLTA status or has significant experience at a high TA level
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND (including ASD, SEMH, or additional learning needs)
• Calm, patient, and resilient, with strong interpersonal skills
• Confident supporting learning across a range of abilities
• Proactive, flexible, and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Committed to pupil wellbeing and inclusive practice
