My client, a luxury retail company are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their friendly and welcoming team.

You will be reporting into an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor working together to maintain strong vendor relationships and contribute to the overall efficiency of the accounts payable function.

• Salary offered: £38,000 per annum + benefits 
• 9am-5.30pm Monday - Friday 
• 5 days working in the office
• 5-minute walk from Oxford Circus tube station

Responsibilities:

• Receiving and distributing invoices via Adobe for approval.
• Maintaining a shared mailbox, actioning, and answering queries within a timely manner.
• Coding and processing a high volume of invoices accurately to make sure payments are correct and on time.
• Requesting and reconciling monthly supplier statements.
• Preparing and processing payment runs.
• Working with suppliers and staff internally to resolve queries
• Supporting the preparation of management accounts and month end duties – support of prepayments and accruals
• General accounts administration
• Daily Cashbook maintaining and cashbook journals – posting direct debits and payments to Sage
• Any ad hoc tasks required by the AP Supervisor or by the business.

About you:

• Strong understanding of accounts payable principles and procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
• AAT qualification is desirable but not essential
