Management Accountant

Glasgow - Hybrid

We are partnering with a fast-growing business seeking an ambitious Management Accountant to join its finance team. This is a broad and hands-on role offering exposure across management reporting, transactional finance oversight and process improvement.

The Role

The Management Accountant will play a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of the business and supporting the wider finance function. Responsibilities will include preparation of monthly management accounts, oversight of accounts payable processes, support with month-end reporting, and supervision of a dedicated Bookkeeper.

Key Responsibilities

Management Accounting & Reporting

• Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
• Support group consolidation and reporting processes.
• Assist with reporting packs, variance analysis, and financial commentary for senior stakeholders.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities.
• Provide insight into costs and business performance.

• Maintain strong financial controls and efficient finance workflows.
• Support expense management processes and controls.

• Manage and support the Bookkeeper, ensuring accurate reconciliations and ledger maintenance.
• Act as an escalation point for reconciliation and finance processing queries.

• Assist with implementation of scalable procedures and internal controls.
• Support audit preparation and compliance requirements.

About You

• Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant.
• Previous experience in a Management Accountant or Senior Assistant Accountant role.
• Previous experience supervising or mentoring junior finance staff.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with cloud-based accounting systems such as Xero, QuickBooks, or NetSuite.
