About the Role

The client is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Sales Ledger Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of their sales ledger function. This is a key role within their Finance team, responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing billing and credit control processes, and leading a small team to ensure timely collection of income.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support the sales ledger team, ensuring workloads are managed effectively.
  • Oversee invoicing, receipts, and reconciliation processes to maintain accurate records.
  • Monitor aged debt and lead proactive credit control efforts.
  • Produce regular reports on debtor performance and cash flow forecasts.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in the ledger and liaise with internal departments to address billing issues.
  • Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements to drive efficiency.
  • Assist with month-end close and audit preparation as required.
About You
  • Proven experience working within a sales ledger or accounts receivable environment, ideally in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and ledger management.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team.
  • High attention to detail, proactive problem solving, and a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Experienced with ERP/accounting systems and confident using Excel.
