We are seeking experienced and dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistants to join welcoming and supportive educational settings in Guildford. About the RoleAs an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including:
Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
ADHD
Speech and Language Difficulties
SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs
Moderate and Complex Learning Difficulties
You will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and families to provide tailored support that enables students to access learning confidently and successfully.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide 1:1 and small group support within the classroom
Adapt learning activities to meet individual student needs
Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and social development
Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
Assist with implementing EHCP targets and support strategies
Build strong and professional relationships with students and staff
Previous experience working within SEN education or support settings is essential
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to manage challenging behaviour positively and professionally
Relevant qualifications or training in SEN/support work are advantageous
