Job Summary

The Billing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the billing function, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, and leading a team of billing clerks. This role focuses on maintaining efficient billing processes, resolving complex billing issues, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the billing team, including training, performance management, and workload allocation
• Review and approve invoices to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies
• Oversee the end-to-end billing cycle, ensuring timely invoice generation and distribution
• Investigate and resolve complex billing discrepancies and customer escalations
• Monitor billing performance metrics and implement process improvements where necessary
• Ensure accurate maintenance of customer accounts and billing records
• Collaborate with finance, sales, and operations teams to align billing processes with business activities
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities related to billing
• Prepare reports and analysis for senior management
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal controls

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of billing processes and basic accounting principles
• Leadership and team management skills
• High attention to detail and strong analytical ability
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
