About the Role

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in the NP12 area starting in September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils across the primary age range, working closely with class teachers to help deliver engaging lessons and provide targeted support to children who need additional assistance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning experiences
  • Working with small groups or on a 1:1 basis with pupils
  • Assisting with classroom management and daily activities
  • Supporting pupils with additional learning needs (ALN), where required
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
  • Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children (school-based or similar)
  • Is passionate about supporting children’s development and education
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is patient, reliable, and adaptable
  • Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS
  • Has relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) – desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
