Our client is a firm dedicated to international arbitration—commercial, investment-treaty, and inter-State. Their lawyers bring extensive experience in all types and forms of international arbitration, having represented corporate and sovereign clients in many of the most significant arbitral cases of the past decades. This collective expertise will be brought to bear with substantial, direct, and continuous partner involvement in each matter handled by the firm.

They are looking to recruit a Accounts Assistant. The newly created Accounts Assistant role will play an important role across multiple areas of the finance team’s operations, supporting key processes and contributing to overall efficiency. The role will report to the Finance Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and processing bank account transactions.
  • Handling client-related disbursement payments.
  • Reconciling bank accounts.
  • Processing supplier invoices and corporate card statements.
  • Ensuring invoices and expenses are approved in accordance with firm policies.
  • Ensuring invoices are consistent with VAT regulations.
  • Handling ad hoc payments and supplier payment runs.
  • Providing support on queries from external suppliers and internal staff.
  • Supporting the billing team with bill production and processing.
  • Assisting with client and matter set up and maintenance.
  • Prepare, upload and manage e-billing files.
  • Assisting with month end accounts preparation including calculation of accruals, prepayments and depreciation charges.
  • Processing of accounting journals and adjustments.
  • Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations.

Candidate Profile

  • Reliable, adaptable and flexible attitude, ensuring that deadlines are met.
  • Organised and methodical approach to tasks, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work co-operatively and flexibly with a varied team of people.
  • High level of attention to detail, sound judgment, and logical decision making with a hands-on approach.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Previous experience of Aderant preferred, but not essential.
