SEMH Secondary Teaching Assistant

We are currently recruiting an experienced Secondary Teaching Assistant to support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a specialist provision based in central Bristol. This role is ideal for someone confident working with vulnerable young people requiring both outreach support and 1:1 intervention.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Supporting students during outreach and enrichment activities in the mornings.
• Providing 1:1 support in the afternoons, tailored to individual SEMH needs.
• Promoting positive behaviour, engagement, and emotional regulation.
• Building strong, trusting relationships with students.
• Working collaboratively with teaching and pastoral teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience working with SEN/SEMH students.
• Experience with secondary-aged learners.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
• Two professional references covering the last 2 years.
• UK driving licence with access to a car and business insurance.
• Ability to start immediately.
