Lean Portfolio Manager (Director)

We are seeking an experienced Lean Portfolio Manager (Director) to lead portfolio governance and delivery excellence across multiple Business Banking areas within a large-scale transformation environment at the intersection of consulting and banking.

This role will play a critical leadership position in driving Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) best practices, operating model consistency, and strategic execution across complex technology and business change portfolios. The successful candidate will partner closely with senior stakeholders across Business Banking, Portfolio Operations, and Technology Delivery functions to ensure alignment between strategic priorities, customer outcomes, and delivery execution.

• Lead and manage a team of 10-15 Lean Portfolio Managers embedded across Business Banking Labs, establishing consistent standards, governance, and ways of working.
• Act as the benchmark for Lean Portfolio Management excellence, implementing best-in-class portfolio governance frameworks, agile operating rhythms, and delivery practices.
• Develop deep understanding of portfolio delivery detail, risks, dependencies, and execution health across Business Banking initiatives.

Required Experience

• Significant experience within Financial Services / Banking environments, ideally Business Banking or Retail Banking.
• Prior experience working within a consulting firm
• Strong Lean Portfolio Management and large-scale technology delivery experience.
• Proven leadership experience managing portfolio teams in complex transformation programmes.
• Deep understanding of Agile, SAFe, portfolio governance, and enterprise delivery frameworks.
