To support continued growth, we are seeking a reliable and motivated Distribution Centre Assistant to join the warehouse team.

Role Overview

The Distribution Centre Assistant will support the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, picking, packing, and dispatching orders efficiently and accurately. The role also involves maintaining stock accuracy and ensuring the smooth flow of goods through the distribution centre.

This is a hands-on position, ideally suited to someone who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the receipt, checking, and storage of incoming goods
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately and on time for dispatch
  • Support regular stock checks and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised warehouse environment
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (training provided if required)
  • Assist with loading and unloading delivery vehicles
  • Identify and report stock discrepancies or damage, escalating issues as appropriate
  • Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily targets and operational requirements

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment is desirable but not essential (full training provided)
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Physical fitness to undertake manual handling tasks, including lifting and moving stock
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude
