Purchasing Assistant – temporary role – to start ASAP.

Hybrid role – ongoing temporary role

£15.98ph plus holiday pay


We are currently recruiting for a large non for profit organisation, who are currently looking to add to their procurement team on a temporary basis. This role is for now to be temporary ongoing for at least 6 months.

Based in Liverpool this role is mainly working from home but may required some travel to the office, and we are looking for someone with prior experience enabling them to hit the ground running

You will be supporting the operational managers and procurement team with the following –

• Purchasing goods and services following company process and systems.

• Raising purchase order numbers.

• Sourcing and quoting goods and services.

• Building relationships with suppliers and make sure approved suppliers have system access.

• General purchasing administration, including processing related invoices and completing trackers and reports.

• Attend departmental meetings.


We are looking for someone with excellent administration and organisation skills with previous experience within purchasing. You will have a good understanding or the procurement process and the purchase to pay process ideally but we are open to a strong administrator with transferrable skills.


Experience of building relationships with suppliers, experience of SORD and ideally a good understanding of contracts.

Excellent IT skills, strong communication skills and the ability to analysis complex data and produce reports are all key.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 9am-5pm – 35 hours per week.

Hourly rate is £15.98ph plus holiday pay and various company benefits which include Reed Rewards discount.
