Junior Legal Cashier

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Junior Legal Cashier to join a modern, tech-enabled legal services organisation based on the Wirral. This role is ideal for someone with existing legal cashiering experience who is looking to develop their skills further within a supportive and fast-paced finance team.

You’ll be joining an innovative firm that supports a large network of lawyers across the UK and internationally. After the initial training period, the role offers hybrid working with three days per week in the office.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing sales invoices and maintaining accurate billing records
• Managing and monitoring the accounts inbox, ensuring queries are handled promptly
• Responding to fee earner queries and providing accurate financial information
• Preparing and submitting payment requests for approval by Senior Cashiers
• Maintaining legal accounting records in line with regulatory requirements
• Performing bank reconciliations and monitoring balances
• Posting financial transactions and maintaining the general ledger
• Assisting with general cashiering duties and supporting the wider finance team
• Completing ad hoc tasks and projects as required
• Ensuring compliance with SRA Accounts Rules and best practice

Key Requirements

• Previous experience in legal cashiering
• Proficiency with Xero (essential)
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
