GPN Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice based in Buckinghamshire, who are looking to recruit an Audit Senior to join their growing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Audit Senior to join a supportive and technically strong firm offering exposure to a broad and interesting client portfolio, genuine responsibility and long-term progression opportunities.

The role will be approximately 70% audit and 30% accounts preparation, with the successful candidate taking ownership of audits from planning through to completion. The firm works with an impressive and diverse client base across a range of sectors including renewable energy, construction-related businesses, manufacturing, gaming, charities, professional services and waste management, with turnovers of up to £80m.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading audits from planning through to completion
• Managing on-site audit fieldwork and acting as the main client contact
• Reviewing and supervising junior staff where appropriate
• Preparing statutory accounts under FRS102
• Identifying risks and ensuring compliance with accounting and audit standards
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Supporting managers and partners with portfolio management

Qualifications and Skills:

• ACA / ACCA qualified preferred, although Qualified by Experience candidates will also be considered
• Strong UK practice experience within audit
• Experience leading audits from planning to completion
• Good communication and client-facing skills
• Experience preparing statutory accounts is advantageous, although candidates with a purely audit background will also be considered
• Motivated, organised and keen to progress within a growing firm
