Finance Manager

Reed Finance Norwich have been exclusively retained to support with the recruitment for a Finance Manager to oversee all accounting-related activities within our client’s organisation. This role involves maintaining internal controls over financial reporting, presenting financial reports to the senior leadership team, and overseeing the preparation of budgets. The ideal candidate will be a key player in managing our financial health and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, and report variances.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly management accounts.
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes in both the UK and USA.
• Ensure compliance and timely payment of VAT, insurances, and utilities.
• Coordinate monthly payroll and conduct bank account controls and payments.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• ACCA/CIMA/ACA Qualified
• Proven experience working in a finance or accounts department.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Professional and tidy appearance with a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
• Ability to ensure the highest standards of confidentiality and conduct in all areas of activity.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise own workload without close supervision and multi-task effectively.
• Capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
