As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Day to day jobs include:
Maintain the aesthetic of the salon
Washing hair
Assisting stylists
Front of house duties
Training will take place at Nescot College, in person once per week (on a Monday)
After this apprenticeship
After completing a hairdressing apprenticeship, the typical career progression moves from a junior/apprentice role to a fully qualified stylist, with opportunities to specialise, manage, or work independently
Most apprentices are offered full-time positions at their training salons, with many aiming to become senior stylists within a few years
